Who am i?

My name is Joanna. Born and raised in Surrey, United Kingdom I have been lucky enough to call Singapore home since 2011. Here's where I write about my adventures in Asia, but also the ones at home in Singapore.

I've been traveling to Singapore and South East Asia frequently since I was 4 months old and have fond memories of visiting family and holidaying in Singapore, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, and Langkawi as a child. I am drawn to the food (that’s the Singaporean blood in me), the different cultures, and the people here, so it was of no surprise to anyone when I moved almost a decade ago. Asia has always been my favourite part of the world to explore. As a child of the cold but with a heart made for the tropics, and am intensely drawn to the Peranakan culture and beautiful architecture of Asia, and fascinated with Singapore’s rich history.

When I’m not staring at shophouses, eating something delicious or scrolling through Instagram, I run my Digital Marketing business The Bloom Group and spread colourful memories through my travel prints on Sayang From Su Yin.
